Petra is one of the directors of Auckland Vet Centre. She graduated from Massey University in 2010. After a year in Australia, she joined AVC as a mixed practice veterinarian and now works full time in the equine side of the practice.
Petra has a passion for equine reproduction and spends most of her time over spring and summer as a stud veterinarian. She has gained immense experience in this field spending time in the UK, Kentucky, Colorado and Texas at specialist reproductive facilities. If you are interested in breeding your mare to fresh or frozen semen or looking into embryo transfer options she is the lady to talk to.
Petra also enjoys general practice and has been concentrating on performance dental work over the winter months.
Petra and her husband Bryce run a strawberry farm called ‘Bell’s berries’ named after their oldest daughter ‘Annabel’. Petra also has a younger daughter Tulip and three English Spinger Spaniels. She loves a great coffee, yoga and dabbling in riding and breeding her own dressage and Standardbred horses.
